The course is approved by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training (PSBTE & IT), Chandigarh. The course aims to develop practical and theoretical knowledge and skills in various subjects of mechanical engineering. It also includes basics of other branches like electrical engineering, electronic engineering, and computer engineering, enabling students to cope with current challenges and latest trends. The department has matured to be a Center of Excellence, enhancing the understanding of basic principles of mechanical engineering.
